Qualifications

Bachelor of Veterinary Science;
Master of Veterinary Studies (Dairy Medicine and Management);
Member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists (Ruminant Nutrition);
Diploma of Human Resources Management (Dairy);
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Biography

John has worked in the dairy industry as a practicing vet and industry consultant for 20 years. He has extensive experience as a developer and trainer in many of the national dairy programs (Countdown, InCalf, Grains2Milk, feed.FIBRE.future).

John has expertise in:

• ruminant nutrition;
• milk quality management;
• herd health and fertility;
• large herd management;
• business analysis, strategic planning and cash flow budgeting;
• human resource management; and
• group facilitation.
