As of 1 February 2023 new laws apply regarding Family and Domestic Violence Leave.

The National Employment Standards entitlement has been increased from 5 days’ unpaid leave to 10 days’ paid leave per 12-month period for domestic violence victims to deal with family and domestic violence.

Family and Domestic Violence Leave of 10 days’ paid leave per 12-month period for domestic violence victims to deal with family and domestic violence comes into effect for small businesses with less than 15 employees as of 1 August 2023
