Share Dairy Farming – Model Code of Practice now available
27-November-2014

Developed by the Australian dairy industry, the Share Dairy Farming Model Code of Practice was launched today by John Versteden, Chair, Dairy Industry People Development Council at the ADIC industry leaders breakfast.
The Code aims to promote share farming as an effective way to operate a dairy farm business and set an industry standard by describing acceptable share farming practices, with guidelines and tools for assessing and establishing share farming arrangements.
The four tools within the Model Code of Practice: Fairness and affordability calculator, Legal test guide, Share dairy farming checklist and the Model share dairy farming agreement can be downloaded individually. It is recommended parties interested in share farming work through the steps in the Model Code of Practice with a dairy adviser. Watch a video of the farmers pictured on the code, discussing their share farming experiences.
