As of 1 July 2023 the Temporary Skilled Migration Threshold (TSMIT) has been increased from $53,900 to $70,000.00.

From 1 July 2023 Visa applications for the Temporary Skill Shortage (subclass 482), Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186) visa applicants and Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) (subclass 494) must nominate a salary of $70,000 per annum plus superannuation.

The Dairy Industry Labour Agreement contains a concession providing for employers to nominate a salary of 90% of the TSMIT or a maximum of $63,000.00 or the market salary rate whichever is greater.  Note that the nominated salary may include guaranteed overtime.
